Immune reaction
The body's immune reaction to fight off the Roseola virus is to heat up. This causes a fever in an attempt to create an environment too hot for the virus to survive. The lymph nodes also work to fight off the infection as more and more cells are destroyed. White blood cells and other known immune response cells go to work to kill off all the viruses that are attacking the body.
